Biography

Peter joined Brighton Business School in 2000 after a career in public service. Peter’s own journey of personal development being in 1985 when he enrolled as a part-time mature student on a business studies degree course. He continued his part-time studies and in 1996 completed his Master of Philosophy degree (MPhil). Peter has undertaken a range of teaching roles, most of which have been with postgraduate, post-experience part-time mature students. Last year he also because course leader to the new foundation certificate/degree programme Policing in Partnership with Communities, designed for newly recruited police officers. He is a Fellow member of the CMI and earlier this year achieved the CMI Chartered Manager designation. Peter is also undertaking a professional doctorate (DBA) at the Business School. His areas of interest are management development, individual transformational/ transitional learning, communication and leadership styles, organisational change/ behaviour/ cultural, business research methods and action learning.
