Biography

Mr Saifeldin B Ali is a highly experienced professional in Higher Education in the UK. He works as Head of the Postgraduate Department at the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Kuwait in London since 2001. Before that he worked, as a Senior Academic Advisor for the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau, also in London. These two posts, in which he has spent the last 19 years of his career, have honed a unique set of core competencies in planning, communication, negotiation, organisation as well as interpersonal skills. Mr Ali has first hand expertise in higher education aspects in relation to the Middle East and how best to enhance higher education opportunities for students in institutions in the United Kingdom and Europe. He is aided by strong leadership, cultural awareness and interpersonal skills, he is able to form and cultivate relations that help in creating opportunities for the students and recruits. He is qualified to postgraduate degree level, with a Master of Science (MSc) from the London School of Economics & Political Science. He possesses first rate research and academic credentials. As a researcher, he worked for the British Refugee Council in London and prepared articles on various lively issues. He has experience of teaching at university level when he had worked as an Assistant Lecturer, conducting seminars, tutorial sessions, and workshops for students in Economics and Political Science at the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He is also fully bilingual; English and Arabic with native/full proficiency in both languages.
