Maha Ellider graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Khartoum in 1992. She worked in Sudan for many years in the Omdurman Tropical Disease Hospital. In the UK, she completed the Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2002. Her interest is in communicable disease control, and she was attached for one year with the Health Protection Agency in Sheffield. She undertook the New Researchers Training Programme 2005/06 at Sheffield University and has completed a Master of Public Health, Liverpool John Moores University in 2013. Currently, she lives in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
