Mohamed Atta is a PhD student majoring in sustainable energy. My PhD work is on solar thermal desalination using multi-effect distillation. I am highly interested in solar energy systems, technologies and applications, especially in Sudan. I am also interested in the business and economics of solar energy. I have attended and presented at several conferences related to these themes. My research strengths are renewable energy systems modelling, thermodynamics, techno-economic analysis, solar financing schemes and renewable energy policies. I am a member of the International solar energy society, American solar energy society and the European energy centre.
