Prof. Nayera E. Hassan is a Professor and Head of the Department of Biological Anthropology, Medical Research Division, National Research Centre, Cairo, Egypt. She obtained her MSc in Pediatrics from Faculty of Medicine, Ain-Shams University, and her PhD in Childhood Research from Department of Medical Sciences, The Institute of Childhood Studies, AinShams University, Egypt. Currently, she is working on growth and development, and nutritional assessment of Egyptian children using the anthropometry and body composition, with special emphasis on obesity. She has more than 38 published papers in this field.
