Thaira Mohammed Al Shirawi was born in 1963 in Cairo, Egypt. She received her MBA from The University of Strathclyde in 2002 and PhD from Brunel University in 2016. Thaira joined Ahlia University in 2009 and is currently a lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing in the Faculty of Business and Finance and is also the Director of PR & Media. Thaira has extensive experience that spans a number of sectors from banking to insurance, investments and telecommunications.
