Dr. Khalid Siddig is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics of Khartoum University in Sudan. He obtained his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the IUA and M.Sc. in Computer Science from Alneelain University in Sudan. Moreover, is obtained an honour B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Agricultural Economics of the Khartoum University and a PhD degree from Giessen University in Germany. He accumulated several experiences in teaching and research in computer science and agricultural and development economics during the last ten years. Currently, he is a consultant to the United Nations office in Geneva, Switzerland. During the last ten years, Dr.Siddig has received several awards including Alzubair prize of Scientific Excellence and Innovation from the president of Sudan, and the IOT contributor award from Purdue University in USA. Dr. Siddig is affiliated to many international associations in the areas of agricultural and development economics. His area of interest includes Macroeconomic and trade policy analysis, Development Economics, Computable General Equilibrium Modeling, and IT applications to agriculture and economics.
