Sara is the first MBA Knowledge and Innovation Management graduate of Brighton Business School while she was working as Manager Knowledge Management for the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA), Government of Abu Dhabi, UAE. She joined DMA immediately in 2010 after obtaining her Bachelor Degree from Zayed University, Abu Dhabi specializing in Human Resources Management. Sara also hold a Diploma in Learning and Development Practice from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and completed the EFQM Excellence Assessor Diploma from theEuropean Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM). Sara’s primary role in the DMA KM office is to promote and lead all KM activities within the DMA and other municipalities. Sara has been very keen to help employees develop greater understanding and share knowledge as well as encouraging andsecuring widespread ownership and understanding of KM within their working environment. She also support, facilitate and secure the systematic development and training of staff on KM, in addition to ensuring that the regular review and evaluation of performance is consistent with both the long term and short term business plan. Sara’s role also involves coordinating publications and content management processes as well as implementing best practices and lessons learned. Additionally, she also coordinates the upload and updates of taxonomy modules, metadata sets and the reclassifying of contents; configuration and customization of search features and produce stats and usage reports.
